Select Filing screen: Lower Tribunal Records

The primary purpose of the Select Filing screen is to identify the name of the document that you intend to submit to the court.

1. 

Click on the Filing Type dropdown and choose the type of document that will be filed on the identified Appellate court case. The options available to select in this dropdown are restricted to those that apply to lower tribunal records.

2. 

(Optional) Click in the Description field and enter any word or phrase that will help you identify your new filing more easily through your PACFile Dashboard. This text is intended for your use only and is not submitted to the court.

3. 

Click Submit to advance to the Filing Documents tab.

This screen is only part of the PACFile wizard when the filing is initiated through the Case Filing link on the Dashboard or through the Case Filing option in the PACFile menu. When lower tribunal record filings are initiated through a Dashboard notification, representing a specific request from an Appellate court, the information captured in this screen is already available in PACFile and does not need to be reentered. In this scenario, this screen does not appear in the wizard.
